What an excellent opening movie night for us with our new lessee, Nic Morris. As we walked into two eight two eight, we were greeted with not only a smile but a lovely cheese and cold meat platter. To the right of us was a wooden platter with fresh cut bread and a green salad. And we hadn't even had dinner yet.
Dinner was slow cooked beef with baked vegetables, and green salad and bread - if you desired. For dessert we were treated with either a beautifully presented cheesecake or a mousse served in an old fashion champagne glass.
Well done Nic. It was one of the nicest, and certainly one of the best presented meals we have had at our movie nights for quite some time.
Now on to the movie.
If you want a movie with laughter, tears, spectacular scenery and a uniquely Australian vibe, then look no further. Top End Wedding has it all. I think everyone would agree that it was a terrific movie and well worth watching if you haven't had the chance to watch it yet. The acting was brilliant and the script was excellent. How can you go wrong?
Thank you to all our patrons for supporting not only the film society (and a big welcome to our new members) but also Nic Morris. I look forward to next month's movie.
