Wow! What a night it was. It was one of our biggest crowds we have had and, dare I say it, one of the best movies we have shown.
A musical, you say. One of the best movies ever shown? The answer is very easily - YES.
Hugh Jackman, Zac Effron and the rest of the cast were absolutely magnificent. The music was some of the best and catchiest scores I have heard for a very long time. It was heart pumping, feet tapping goodness. Definitely a movie that the whole family can enjoy.
The children were engrossed, the adults, including the "big burly blokes", were also totally engrossed in the movie. You became absorbed into the life of P T Barnum.
Now let's not forget about the food. A choice of Steak Dianne or Roast Lamb, all served with baked vegetables, with Chocolate Bavarian or Sticky Date Pudding for dessert. Who could ask for more?
A big thank you goes to Dianne for not only providing us with a lovely meal on Saturday night, but for providing meals for all our movie nights over the past twelve months. The Film Society and two eight two eight can't thank you enough for all the effort you have made on our behalf.
I would also like to thank everyone for attending and making the night a truly lovely evening. I look forward to putting on many more over the next twelve months.
